Champions League: Real Madrid avoid upset

– Leicester City recorded another win in the Champions League
– Crisitiano Ronaldo didn’t score as Real Madrid hit Legia for five
– Porto scored two late goals in the final 15 mins to win at Club Brugge
– Buffon saved a penalty as ten man Juventus defeated Lyon away
Match day three of the Champions League began with Real Madrid recording a huge win while Leicester won their third consecutive match and no goals conceded in the Champions League yet.
Real Madrid defeated Legia 5 – 1 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Gareth Bale opened the scored with Marcelo adding a second when his attempt was deflected into the net.

Radovic scored a penalty a minute after Marcelo’s goal and there was no stopping Madrid from then on with Asencio, Vazquez and Morata adding the final goals.
Gianluigi Buffon put in a superman display as ten man Juventus defeated Lyon. In what was a great tactical battle in the first half, Buffon saved a penalty from Lacazette then thwarted two other glorious attempts.

Lemina was sent off just after the first half but that did not deter Juve as substitute Juan Cuadrado scored in the 76th minute.
Dortmund defeated Sporting 2 – 1 away to secure three vital points. Aubameyang opened the scoring with Julian Weigl scoring his first ever senior goal. Bruno Caeser however shortened the scorline late in the second half.
Riyad Mahrez scored a stunning goal for Leicester City in a 1 – 0 win over Copenhagen. Leicester have now won their three games in the Champions League this season and are yet to concede a goal.

AS Monaco snatched a late draw at CSKA Moscow. Lacina Traore had given the Russians the lead against the run of play but Bernardo Silva equalized.
Layun and Andre Silva scored late for Porto to see off Club Brugge 2 – 1 in their encounter.
